I’m one of those people that can stare into my wardrobe and claim I have absolutely nothing to wear, even though my wardrobe is bursting at its seams. If you celebrate Valentine’s Day it’s a nice excuse sometimes to get a little dressed up and have some fun. Since we’re not doing any fancy this Valentine’s Day I thought I would share with you some of the outfits I would choose in hope that it will give you some inspiration! These outfits are not restricted to Valentine’s Day and are worthy of any date day/night. There’s quite a mix of outfits and I’ve tried to find pieces that I think could be worn again and again over the summer.
I love this Satin Slip Dress from Topshop, it’s romantic and floaty feeling – does that make sense?. It’s £35 and if pink’s not for you it comes in 8 other colours. If pink is your thing than there’s also this gorgeous pink satin cowl back slip dress. I love these dresses at the moment, I have a mini one but would love a midi version. It’s the perfect dress to grab for date night or even if you fancy dressing up a little for an occasion. It could be dressed up with heels/heeled boots or dressed down with some Toms or white canvas shoes.
If you’re not looking for something quite so fancy then this little shirt dress is cute, playful and can be dressed up with a pair of knee high/over the knee boots. It’s only £29.99 from Quiz and is a versatile piece that could be worn both casually or dressed up – depending on your mood and the occasion.
This Quiz jumpsuit is a bit different and covered in love hearts – what more could you want?! And it’s only £32.99! This is the perfect jumpsuit that could be used again and again throughout the summer or during the winter with a leather jacket or a fur trim black denim jacket. If you can’t justify buying a new outfit just for Valentine’s Day then a jumpsuit is the perfect reusable piece.
If you’re looking to spend a little bit more then this gorgeous lace midi dress is £125 from Lipsy. Personally I love this dress but I know I would wear it once and then it would sit in my wardrobe and never come out again. I think it would be a flattering piece but perhaps not the most comfortable dress if you’re spending a lot of the night sat down and eating!
I adore this dress but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I know my boyfriend would keep asking me why I was wearing my dress gown out. I think it would look lovely with the black suede boots I got for Christmas with leopard print heels. I would also be inclined to choose this dress if we were going out for a meal as I feel it would be very comfortable to eat in! (Comfort is key when you’ve been dating a while! haha). This dress is from Lipsy and is only £55.
I love this dress but it’s in ASOS Tall Section and so my little 5″3 would not do it any justice. I love the colour though and think this would be the perfect dress to use again on holiday with some heeled wooden sandals. It’s £70 and so not the cheapest of dresses around. I’m really drawn to this dress because of the colour and the lace.
Every girl is partial to jeans and a nice top, right? I love this top from Quiz and think it would work with both a pair of black high waisted jeans or a pair of leather/pleather trousers. It’s also on sale for only £14.99! A top is the perfect inexpensive way of updating your wardrobe and feeling like you have a new perfect outfit to wear.
I’ve had this dress saved on ASOS for a few months now, hoping that it would go into the sales. At £106 I cannot justify it but I think it would be a staple piece which could be brought out for meals out and date nights.
I hope you’ve found some inspiration, or even just enjoyed looking at some outfits!
