It’s been a bit of a quiet month as I’ve tried not to spend much money!
However, I have bought a few new things that I love and want to share with you all! Here’s what I have been loving this April..
You can find my previous favourite posts here:
Micro Needle/ Derma rolling
This was one of my many TKMaxx purchases – every favourites post tends to have something from TKMaxx. I’d been reading about micro-needling on various different blogs and was intrigued by the idea. Micro needling can help:
I sometimes suffer from eczema on my face and so anything to potentially remove scars from my face is a bonus. In addition to this micro needling can help with wrinkles and as my 25th birthday is approaching I’m beginning to realise that I want to take care of my skin. Micro needling also encourages the production of collagen and helps skin to absorb skin-care products.
The derma roller that I purchased from TKMaxx only has 0.25 mm needles. There were ones with larger needles but they were more expensive and I was concerned about the idea of rolling needles over my face, so I stuck to the smaller ones. I have used this product a number of times and I love it. My favourite time to use it is after a face mask to help my skin absorb the remaining serum on my face.
I have found that my skin is plumper and clearer since I have begun using the product. I intend to continue using the derma rolling and possibly (funds allowing) increase the needle size.
Okay, this is a bit of an odd one for a favourites post but bare with me. This deodorant smells like summer in a can. I’m quite fussy about how my deodorant smells, I don’t like it to smell like deodorant. Is that weird? As soon as I saw this one I knew we would get on well. The scent is coconut and jasmine – it smells divine! The coconut smell brings back memories of being abroad on a beach and smothering myself in sun tan lotion.
I had to share this with you as in my opinion it is a game changer for deodorants.
I’ve used gradual tans on and off as I tend to go very pale over the winter. I’m not very confident about my legs and so I always struggle in early summer. I decided to pick up a new fake tan to see if it would boost my confidence a bit. This tanning mousse from St. Moriz is clear, it didn’t stain anything and I found very little/no streaking. I did use a tanning mitt, however I am by no means a fake tan expert so I am very impressed with the application of this product.
My natural tan is a little on the yellow side (not quite like the Simpsons, but you get the gist). Gradual tans seem to accentuate this and I always end up looking a little orang-er than I would have liked. This tan, however gave me a beautiful natural glow which can be built up. Definitely a fake tan that I will be re-purchasing!
That’s all for what I’ve been loving this month.
