June favourites

I cannot believe that another month has whizzed by so quickly!

As I’m sure all of you are sick of hearing now we’re saving and so I’m not allowed to do much shopping. However, this month we went on holiday and so I had an excuse to buy a couple of new bits. I absolutely loved the bits I picked up and so thought I would share them with you.

The Body Shop Ginger Shampoo

My hair has been horrible lately. It’s been getting really greasy really quickly and with that it seems to be covered in dandruff. I’ve tried numerous shampoos but find that they often don’t make much of a difference. I’ve heard people raving about the Body shop’s Ginger Shampoo and so I decided to give it a go. I absolutely love it! My hair hasn’t been getting as greasy, the dandruff has gone and my hair is just generally easier to handle.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Body Lotion –

This moisturiser smells amazing. I wanted something coconutty to take on holiday, I had really wanted the Coconut Body Shop body butter but could not justify how expensive it was. I spotted this in the supermarket and after smelling it I knew it would be the perfect substitute. It smelt absolutely amazing, it was a little sticky but I could put up with that. It’s kept my skin nice and soft and after a day in the sun my skin very much appreciated it.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer –

I’ve used this concealer before and it was just running out when I decided perhaps I’d try a different one. I had a look round at brands and colours, I was really impressed with the Too Face one, however it was so expensive! In the spirit of saving I decided to buy another Maybelline concealer. I can honestly say that I haven’t been disappointed with my choice and I’m glad I didn’t waste my money on the more expensive one. Although I’m not ruling out buying the Too Faced one in the future…

Holika Holika Aloe Soothing Gel –

I got this aloe vera gel in my ASOS advent calendar at Christmas, at the time I did wonder whether I would use it but decided it could come in handy at some point. I brought it on holiday with me and it was a life saver! I ended up burning my knees quite badly and so I smothered them in this, which not only soothed the pain but also prevented them from peeling. I’m very happy that this came in my advent calendar and that I thought to bring it away with us.

What have you loved in June?
