Last year was the first time I wrote a Christmas Gift Guide and I absolutely loved it!
I’m a self confessed shopaholic and end up doing the Christmas shopping for most of my family.
I have based the Christmas Guide for ‘Her’ on what I would like to receive on Christmas morning. I hope this gift guide gives you some ideas for the ladies in your life – or even an idea or two for your own Christmas list!
Over the next week I will be posting gift guides for Him, Him and Her (Unisex) and Stocking Fillers. In addition to this I have a few posts reviewing all the books that I have read this year – this will be great post to get some ideas for any book lovers out there.
If you’re still stuck for ideas…

Clothes and Accessories –
Now anyone that knows me knows how much I love a coat – I have an embarrassing amount in my wardrobe. This particular jacket popped up on my Facebook feed today and I fell in love with it! Whether you like this one or not, a coat it a great present for someone – or if you’re not sure about their taste why not get the person a gift voucher so they can choose their own?
If you do like this particular coat then it is from River Island for £85.
A Scarf –
Following on from the above coat, a scarf is always a welcome Christmas gift. Not only are they fashionable and comfortable but they’re also brilliant for keeping you warm! This particular scarf from Next looks great and at the same time is neutral to go with lots of different outfits.
You can find this scarf at Next for only £14
I always have cold feet and go through slippers at an alarming rate. It’s always handy to have an extra pair on standby for when your beloved ones give up. Christmas is the perfect time to stock up on an extra pair of slippers or to retire your existing ones.
These cute grey boots from Amazon for £15.99* are the perfect pair to keep your feet toasty.
A purse is the perfect treat at Christmas. On our first Christmas together my boyfriend bought me a Michael Kors purse and it holds a lot of sentimental value for me. Something like a purse is the perfect present as it’s thoughtful but also practical. I adore the design and colour of this Michael Kors purse, however at £105 you can definitely find some cheaper alternatives out there.
This Olivia Burton watch is absolutely gorgeous and I would be very happy opening this on Christmas morning. A few years ago I treated myself to an Olivia Burton watch and to this day I still adore it. This particular watch is £140, however there are many other beautiful watches, both from Olivia Burton and elsewhere, that are cheaper.
I love Christmas for getting new make-up and often I get gift sets with make-up that I haven’t tried before. FeelUnique has a whole section on their website dedicated to Make-up gift sets. It can feel a little overwhelming at first so if you’re not sure what you’re looking for I would recommend using the filter options and order them from the highest rated or best selling.
Make-up Subscription Box –
I love the idea of getting a subscription to a make-up box for Christmas! I hardly ever try new products as I don’t want to risk wasting my money and so I think this is the perfect chance to try some new pieces and feel like you’re getting your money’s worth.
The upfront cost of Glossybox are above and they give you the option of 3 months, 6 months or 12 months depending on your budget.
Birchbox offer a similar gifting subscription, however they are a little more expensive.
I’ve never receieved a make-up subscription box so cannot recommend which one is better value, however there are lots of blog posts and YouTube videos out there showing you what you get in each box.
Nails/Gel Nails –
Before we started renovations on our new flat I loved doing my nails and took great pride in them. I began to get fed up with painting them all the time and so a couple of years ago I got a Gel Nail set so that I could do them at home and save myself some money. I absolutely adore my Gel Nail set! It took a while to learn how to do them and YouTube was my best friend, however now I know how to do it myself I can’t imagine ever spending £30 again on getting them done.
This particular set from Amazon is only £24.99* and has good reviews – I also love the colours that are included! In my opinion you’re best to start off with a few cheaper polishes and once you know how to apply the gels treat yourself to some better ones.
I love having a relax in the bath with a bath bomb. As we’ve recently moved into our first home money is short and so things like bath bombs have had to go. Personally, I would love something like these Bath Bombs from Amazon* for only £11.99 as a Christmas present. They’re all natural and organic which is great news for someone with sensitive skin.
They’re the perfect present for anyone who loves a good soak in the bath.
Other gift ideas:
- Gift Card – Whenever I receive money for a Birthday or Christmas I feel as though I have to put it towards something practical and so sometimes it’s nice to receive a gift card so that I don’t feel guilty treating myself.
- A Spa Day/Break – If you really feel like treating someone then a spa day/break can be just the ticket to unwind and relax.
- A Book – Keep an eye out for my upcoming book reviews to find the perfect read for someone you love!
Let me know in the comments what you want for Christmas!
